AllScripts Application Analyst - Cardiology

*** This is a backfill position for another consultant who left for another project.  This position has a start ASAP and project end date in November 2023.

Manager Notes: There will be times when they need to go onsite to different hospitals and make changes to the actual EKG devices to point to the correct location in Muse; Muse experience is not required, but highly preferred.  They will teach Muse. 

The main project task is collapsing all of the Muse locations into a single location. The project has already been started, and the vendor is involved, and contracted to do the software scripting work.  But we need someone to handle some light PM work, and coordination at the hospitals where we collapse the sites.  It has to be done over a series of scripts, and not all at once, as we have to manually repoint the ECG carts from each hospital to the new site in Muse.

Remote but will need to be on site occasionally at Cleveland area hospitals

Details:  3 years AllScripts Application Analyst experience Cardiology and Radiology systems
  • Main objective is to coordinate and collapse all the Muse locations into a single location; this is done over a series of scripts; manually repoint the ECG carts from each hospital
  • Provide major enterprise application configuration support as well as other applications as assigned to enhance operational efficiencies and patient safety
  • Visible to clinicians with significant impact on patient safety, JCAHO, HIPAA, departmental and patient workflow
  • Performs needs assessment, software design, implementation, support, and reporting
  • Independently facilitates design of clinical workflow in conjunction with the clinicians; workflows will focus on improved efficiencies, solving complex workflow issues and incorporating quality initiatives
  • Coordinates and participates in unit and integrated testing activities of the software to ensure that the design objectives are met, including the development of testing scripts
  • Participates in change management activities to support successful system deployments and enhancements
  • Leads components of development of end-user training materials and participates in training efforts
  • Leads escalation of issues with appropriate internal resources
  • Identifies and analyzes moderately complex issues with vendor assistance and brings problem tickets to resolution
  • Develops policies and procedures in collaboration with clinicians, other system analyst team members, and IT Clinical team manager
  • Independently manages components of application upgrades and troubleshooting efforts
  • Supports and troubleshoots Hospital Information Systems interfaces for inbound/outbound and billing orders
  • Creates reports, dashboards, and other analytical tools to support customer basis
  • Creates and maintains appropriate system documentation

Experience & Knowledge:
  • 3+ years’ experience as applications analyst required
  • Has experience working with clinical applications such as:
    • Radiology systems
    • Laboratory systems (CoPath, Soft Lab, HCLL Blood Bank)
    • Cardiology systems (HeartLab)
